Solutions Architect – Ruby on Rails & Java Integration

Location:
Mountain View, CA / New York City, NY (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the integration of a newly acquired Ruby on Rails-based product with our existing Java-based application.

This is a strategic role that demands strong technical leadership, cross-platform expertise, and the ability to drive alignment between teams and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end integration of the Ruby on Rails product with the Java-based application.
  • Act as the bridge between Ruby on Rails and Java teams, aligning architectural decisions with business goals.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making across leadership teams from both platforms.
  • Evaluate and recommend the best-fit integration approach, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Define the architecture roadmap and integration strategy with a clear focus on long-term maintainability.
  • Proactively identify and resolve cross-platform conflicts, gaps, or inefficiencies. Guide and support development teams throughout the integration lifecycle.

    • Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
  • Proven experience with both Ruby on Rails and Java-based architectures.
  • Strong background in system integration, microservices, APIs, and cloud-based deployments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools to improve productivity, optimize design workflows, or accelerate decision-making.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional and geographically distributed teams is a plus.
