Role

and Responsibilities

SDC is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to manage various functions of HR including payroll and compensation, HR technology, recruitment, benefits and leave administration, training, communications and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Process and/or serve as backup for processing of weekly payroll for assigned companies. Generate related reporting.
  • Provide supervision, guidance and support to assigned team members.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR team members, management, and other staff when complex, specialized and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Assist with development, revision and implementation of policies and procedures in line with department and organizational objectives.
  • Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations as needed.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process including identifying staffing and recruiting needs. Collaborate with departmental/hiring manager to understand required skills and competencies for open positions. Perform compensation analysis for positions as needed.
  • Participate in reviews and renewal meetings for benefit offerings. Manage open enrollment processes and activities.
  • Maintain personnel files and records, both electronic and paper.
  • Assist with learning and development initiatives for management and employees.
  • Generate ad hoc reports.
  • Maintain relationships with client service representatives from vendor partners (i.e., payroll, 401k, insurance).
  • Monitor HR trends and practices that could impact the organization and advise management accordingly.
  • Promote positive employee relations and ensure consistent and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Recommend and support various HR initiatives and projects.
  • Work with various external auditors and vendors on year-end audits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • 2+ years of managerial experience in an office environment.
  • Payroll processing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
  • Technically savvy and proficient in Microsoft 365 suite with advanced skills in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb communication skills including effective listening, clear and concise writing and presentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to coach, counsel, negotiate, influence, and resolve issues at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits and sensitive HR matters.
  • Basic accounting knowledge helpful.
  • Able to prioritize and work on various assignments simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Salary Range $140,000 to $150,000 plus demo
