Our Client, a Global Insurance Company is seeking a Executive Search Recruiter – Financial Services in their New York, NY location. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Executive Recruiter to lead senior-level and executive searches across financial services and corporate leadership functions. This individual will partner closely with senior leadership and HR to deliver high-impact hiring solutions for critical roles, bringing a research-driven, consultative approach and strong executive-search expertise.

This role manages a focused portfolio of complex searches (typically 5–8 at a time), allowing for deep stakeholder engagement, thoughtful candidate assessment, and strategic execution across the full search lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end executive recruiting for senior and leadership roles across financial services and corporate functions
  • Partner directly with senior executives and HR leaders to define role requirements, success profiles, and search strategies
  • Conduct comprehensive market mapping and competitive intelligence to identify target companies, talent pools, and passive candidates
  • Leverage data and research insights to inform sourcing strategy and advise stakeholders on market dynamics and talent availability
  • Develop and execute targeted engagement strategies to attract and build relationships with senior talent
  • Perform in-depth candidate assessments across leadership capability, technical expertise, and cultural alignment
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders throughout the hiring process
  • Lead offer strategy and negotiations, including complex compensation and executive-level considerations
  • Partner with HR, Compensation, and Legal to ensure competitive and compliant offers
  • Manage external search firms as needed, ensuring quality and alignment with internal hiring strategy
  • Deliver a high-touch, confidential candidate experience aligned with executive search best practices
  • Track search performance and provide reporting, insights, and post-search analysis
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of recruiting experience, including significant experience leading senior-level or executive searches
  • Background supporting financial services or other complex, highly regulated environments preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior leadership on high-impact hires
  • Strong expertise in executive search methodologies, market research, and talent mapping
  • Experience structuring and negotiating complex compensation packages
  • Exceptional consulting, influencing, and stakeholder management skills with strong executive presence
  • Excellent communication skills and sound judgment in confidential situations
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple senior searches simultaneously
  • Experience with in a retained executive search firm strongly preferred
