👥 Director of Human Resources - Healthcare
A large, well-established healthcare organization is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead and evolve its HR function during an exciting period of growth and operational focus.
This is a highly visible leadership role for an experienced HR professional who thrives in complex environments, understands healthcare workforce dynamics, and enjoys building strong, compliant, people-first systems.
🎯 What You’ll Lead- Overall HR strategy, operations, and policy development
- Full lifecycle talent management: recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and separations
- Workforce planning and partnership with senior leadership
- Compensation, benefits administration, and retirement programs
- Regulatory compliance (FMLA, ADA, OSHA, COBRA, personnel records)
- Labor relations, grievances, and arbitration preparation (as applicable)
- Staff training, development, and mandatory in-services
- Employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives
- Lead and manage the HR department and daily operations
- Develop and maintain HR policies, job descriptions, and employee handbook
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and department heads
- Oversee incident tracking and OSHA reporting
- Represent HR in committees and cross-functional initiatives
- Perform Administrator-on-Duty (AOD) responsibilities as needed
- 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Master’s degree preferred (HR, Administration, or related field)
- Strong knowledge of healthcare HR practices and employment law
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
