Talent Manager, Employee Relations
Overview
Job Summary The human resources generalist is responsible for performing various HR-related duties and works closely with senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, training, policy implementation, and employment law compliance. S/he will work autonomously in partnership with the HR Director.
Responsibilities- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition; morale and training and development.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of HR.
- Data metrics.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, e.g., Anti-harassment training and Core Training.
- Facilitates new hire orientation.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred
- Attention to detail for handling administrative tasks accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to complete projects on time with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems (ADP).
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
