We are seeking a Volunteer HR Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of MAP’s Human Resources team. This role will focus on volunteer onboarding, recordkeeping, and coordination of HR processes to ensure a smooth and supportive experience for all volunteers. It is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in nonprofit HR, people operations, or organizational development.
Responsibilities- Assist with the onboarding process, including communication, documentation, and orientation scheduling
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and HR databases
- Support compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate communication between HR leadership and volunteers
- Help organize HR initiatives such as training, engagement activities, and feedback collection
- Provide administrative support to the HR team and Director of HR
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Gmail)
- Interest in HR, nonprofit management, or people operations
- Prior HR or administrative experience (preferred but not required)
- Volunteer role, approximately 5–10 hours per week
- Minimum 6-month commitment preferred
- Fully remote with virtual meetings
- Hands-on experience in nonprofit HR operations
