Location: New York

The Temporary Human Resources Generalist manages various aspects of the HR functions including but not limited to: onboarding, recruitment, process of new hires, payroll, performance management, employee relations, terminations and all additional administrative tasks needed for the organization of the department. Pink Taco is looking for a FUN, FAIR, HONEST, HARDWORKING, UNPRETENTIOUS AND UNCOMPLICATED individual with a passion for Human Resources.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.
  • Able to effectively manage a high-volume workload to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Perform HR administration tasks such as drafting documents, presentations, spreadsheets, flow charts, reports, payroll, onboarding, terminations, process new hires and keeping employee files updated with all pertinent documentation.
  • Coaching and mentoring at various levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge in employment law of these states (CA, MA, FL, Washington DC, and NY), compensation organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, worker's compensation, and payroll.
  • Managed full life-cycle recruiting process for exempt and non-exempt positions, which included requisitions, developing sourcing strategies, interviewing, building and maintaining candidate relationships, consulting with hiring managers and HR business partners, compensation analysis, offer recommendations and negotiations.
  • Oversee the pre-employment process, communicating to new hires and hiring departments’ pre-employment procedures (e.g. background, issue drug screen, reference checks, etc.).
  • Completes process of new hires (Recruitment and Onboarding).
  • Communicate and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure company compliance and employee law.
  • Create and maintain detailed job descriptions for all existing positions.
  • Advise and coach Managers on HR matters.
  • Conduct investigations and assist management with a resolution of difficult situations.
  • Providing HR support to Restaurant Units across all brands.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Two (2) to four (4) years related experience.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Strong ability to multi-task and in a high paced environment.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must demonstrate commitment, dedication, and self-motivation.
  • The ability to communicate in Spanish is helpful but not mandatory.
