The Senior Director of Human Resources
: is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the mission and operational goals of the organization. This role oversees all HR functions, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, compliance, and organizational development. The Senior Director, Human Resources is expected to adhere to all organizational policies and applicable regulatory obligations, stewardship of resources, confidentiality, and ethical conduct, and to devote all professional time to the performance of the responsibilities of this job description and remain available to fulfill management responsibilities inside and outside standard business hours as LiveOnNY’s needs dictate.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, culture, and organizational development.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and diversity.
  • Participates as a member of the Senior Leadership Team at LiveOnNY in developing and achieving performance goals. Serves as back-up to the Vice President Human Resources.

HR Operations & Technology:

  • Oversee HRIS for timekeeping, scheduling, and workforce analytics.
  • Manage ATS for recruitment and ensure seamless candidate experience.
  • Ensure data integrity and leverage HR technology for reporting and decision-making.
  • Collaborates with VPHR to maintain governance of performance appraisal system in LMS. Assess efficacy of performance management processes for continuous improvement.

Talent Management:

  • Lead recruitment strategies for clinical and non-clinical roles, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Oversee recruitment, screening, hiring, and advertising and develop appropriate screening and selection methodologies for potential candidates.
  • Implement succession planning and leadership development programs.
  • Oversee performance management processes and coaching initiatives.
  • Maintains governance of performance appraisal system in LMS. Assess efficacy of performance management processes for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with VPHR, this role will foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by managing employee relations, resolving conflicts, and conducting workplace investigations.

Compliance &

Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as healthcare-specific regulations.
  • Maintain policies and procedures in alignment with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Manage employee relations and investigations with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Coordinates staff training with the team and collaborates to ensure educational curricula align with current standards of practice. Develops key learning opportunities for departments that comply with CMS, NYS DOH, FDA, and OPTN training regulations.
