A premier global organization is seeking a Senior Manager, Employee Relations to serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner across its U.S. operations. This individual will lead complex employee relations initiatives, guide leaders through sensitive workplace matters, and advance a culture rooted in respect, inclusion, and accountability. The role reports to the Senior Director of Employee Relations and will provide oversight across multiple business units with a focus on proactive engagement and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigations involving policy violations, harassment, discrimination, and other workplace concerns with fairness, consistency, and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and senior leaders to design and implement resolutions that align with business goals and uphold organizational values.
- Partner closely with Legal, Benefits, and other Centers of Excellence to ensure compliance and alignment on sensitive cases, accommodations, and leave matters.
- Develop and manage employee relations data, reporting, and analytics to identify trends, predict potential issues, and inform proactive strategy.
- Serve as a coach and advisor to managers and HR teams on performance management, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflict resolution.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of policies and procedures that promote a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
- Collaborate with Learning and Development to design and deliver training programs that strengthen leadership and employee relations capabilities.
- Support legal counsel in responding to external inquiries, such as attorney letters, agency claims, and subpoenas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (JD or Master’s) preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in employee relations or HR, ideally within a multi-site or retail environment.
- Proven expertise in investigations, conflict resolution, mediation, and employment law compliance.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to transform data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust at all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and MS Office Suite.
