Overview

Under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, the Talent Acquisition Assistant will work with the North American Recruiting Team and the Associate recruiting teams to support the annual consulting recruiting pipeline and the life cycle of the New York City office’s consulting staff recruiting efforts. This includes event planning and execution, candidate pipeline development, marketing and branding activities, planning and participating in the interview process, building interview schedules, candidate communication and relationship management, and all conversion activities.

This role requires confidentiality, professionalism, and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment with adaptability to change. The Talent Acquisition Assistant must have effective written and verbal communication, be able to work independently, prioritize workload, and take a proactive approach.

What You'll Do
  • Cultivate relationships with candidates and create positive recruiting experiences by serving as a welcoming face to BCG
  • Develop and maintain relationships with campus career services, campus clubs, and other campus organizations to enhance BCG's brand on campus
  • Manage logistics of the recruiting process from marketing and event planning through screening, interviewing, and candidate conversion
  • Support year-round NYC office recruiting activities, including the Associate and Consultant summer internship programs, Welcome Weekends, and other recruiting events and conversion efforts
  • Oversee NYC recruiting cadre training, commitment, and performance tracking processes (select and train interviewers, staff NAMR events and interviews with an appropriate mix of consulting staff, ensure commitments are upheld)
  • Partner with NAMR and NYC leadership to execute recruiting strategy; build networks and liaise with peers in other offices to align on initiatives
  • Coordinate programs and events across multiple dimensions and manage end-to-end planning details
  • Organize roles and responsibilities and communicate updates and progress with team members
  • Assist with special projects and analyses as needed
What You'll Bring
  • BA/BS degree required
  • 1-2 years of recruiting, HR, or related experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and relationship orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; highly responsive and capable of building working relationships with colleagues and candidates
  • Excellent time and project management skills with systems to handle multiple tasks, attention to detail, and composure under pressure
  • Organizational skills to support behind-the-scenes activities while delivering high-quality service and positively impacting recruiting efforts
  • Intellectual curiosity, creative thinking, and interest in the bigger picture with problem-solving mindset
  • Self-motivated and trustworthy; ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Advanced computer proficiency:
    Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel; database familiarity
  • Ability to work overtime during peak recruiting periods

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market-leading benefits package described below.

We expect total annualized compensation for NYC-based employees to be approximately the following:

  • Base salary between $66,000- $82,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-12%
  • 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period
