A well-established, boutique recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Recruiter to join its growing New York office. The firm has been operating successfully for over a decade, growing organically from a small team into a respected specialist business of ~30 employees.

Role & Responsibilities

The Senior Recruiter will be responsible for:

  • Building and managing senior client relationships within Financial Services, Risk, Governance, and Insurance sectors
  • Originating and delivering permanent and contract placements, consistently achieving revenue targets
  • Demonstrating commercial maturity and revenue generation ability
  • Mentoring and supporting junior consultants, contributing to a collaborative, high-performance culture
  • Identifying new business opportunities and market niches aligned with the firm’s growth strategy
  • Operating autonomously within a boutique, trust-based environment while maintaining high accountability
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have demonstrable revenue generation experience within Financial Services, Risk, Governance, or Insurance recruitment
  • Be commercially minded and confident discussing numbers, margins, and performance metrics
  • Preferably have 2–3+ years of experience in a specialist recruitment desk, with a focus on either permanent or contract recruitment
  • Exhibit strong market credibility, relationship-building skills, and a professional yet approachable demeanor
  • Value long-term career growth, stability, and a non-micromanaged, accountable culture
  • Be based in or willing to relocate to New York (hybrid model with occasional office presence)
Performance & Remuneration
  • Base salary: $70k–$85k (dependent on experience)
  • Commission structure linked to desk performance and revenue targets
