Role
As an Employee Relations Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Northwell's culture by serving as a trusted advisor to leaders. You'll navigate employee relations matters with expertise, and a commitment to resolution, ensuring compliance, minimizing risk, and upholding our core values. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the employee experience and contribute to our strategic HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a primary point of contact and consultant for leaders on a wide range of employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation.
- Proactively respond to and resolve employee relations inquiries in a timely and professional manner, delivering clear, actionable advice and support.
- Maintains comprehensive and accurate records and documentation within tracking system, ensuring data integrity.
- Makes recommendations for process improvements and contributes to the Employee Relations team in decision-making strategies.
- Partners closely with HR Partners, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to ensure a consistent, integrated, approach to employee relations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience. Employee relations experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and case management systems.
