Overview
Our East Coast Healthcare client is seeking two experienced Payroll Specialists to support high-volume payroll processing during a temporary leave coverage period. This is a hands-on, data-entry-intensive role requiring strong payroll expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. These 100% onsite roles will begin in the next few weeks and continue for 3+ months.
Responsibilities- Process payroll accurately and on schedule using the Paragon system
- Perform retroactive payroll adjustments as needed
- Address payroll-related questions from department managers
- Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll laws, tax regulations, and garnishments
- Assist with payroll audits and data requests
- Support payroll-related budget activities
- Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, and Benefits teams
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Prior payroll processing experience (required)
- Experience using Paragon payroll system (required)
- Strong data entry and payroll accuracy skills
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, garnishments, and compliance
- Familiarity with federal and state labor laws (FLSA, ERISA, Social Security, Unemployment Insurance)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
