About Chapter

Chapter is a fast‑growing design‑build firm operating in New York, Miami, Westchester, Connecticut, and the Hamptons. We specialize in high‑end residential renovations with a fully managed, in‑house process — design, construction, architecture coordination, and project management. Our culture is built on consistency, accountability, reliability, and continuous improvement.

We are looking for an HR Manager who can strengthen our team, support our growth, and build structure across our expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage day‑to‑day HR functions and administrative duties.
  • Maintain employee records, contracts, and compliance documents.
  • Support management with employee relations and internal communication.

Recruitment & Hiring

  • Design, write, and post recruitment advertisements across platforms.
  • Coordinate interview schedules and manage communication with candidates.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle from sourcing to offer stage.
  • Review candidate interviews and provide feedback to hiring managers.

Onboarding & Training

  • Assist in developing training pathways and internal guidelines.
  • Lead the development of an internal educational platform for continuous learning.

Culture & Employee Experience

  • Organize company events, activities, and team‑building excursions.
  • Support quarterly reviews, one‑on‑one evaluations, and performance discussions.
  • Help reinforce Chapter’s values, standards, and culture across all offices.

Organizational Support

  • Assist leadership with workflow planning and role structuring.
  • Support process development as the company scales across multiple states.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of HR experience, ideally in construction, design, real estate, or a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented.
  • Experience overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and HR operations.
  • Ability to multitask and support multiple teams in different locations.
