About the role: Our client is seeking an intelligent and resourceful Recruiter with HR knowledge to lead US recruiting efforts alongside a small global HR team. As a Recruiter, you will manage the full-cycle recruiting process, from sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
Responsibilities for the Recruiter:
Recruitment:
- Source and attract candidates via social media, job boards, and placement agencies.
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting to expand the candidate pipeline.
- Utilize Boolean Logic, x-raying, and networking to find the best suitable candidates.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to write and manage job descriptions.
- Conduct phone and in-person interviews.
- Manage the entire hiring process end-to-end.
- Oversee onboarding of new employees.
- Serve as the main point of contact with recruitment agencies.
Human Resources:
- Manage additional HR activities in the NY office, aligning HR strategies with the global team.
- Advise and assist staff and management on employment standards and legislation, including workers' compensation, labor laws, benefits, etc.
- Build and maintain relationships with employees to understand internal processes, needs, and issues.
- Liaise with management on employee relations issues.
- Ensure HR processes and procedures align with HR directives.
- Support company well-being initiatives, such as happy hours and activities.
- Participate in cross-HR projects.
Ideal Requirements for the Recruiter:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Recruiter in hi-tech or startup companies.
- Proven sourcing experience for customer-facing roles (Marketing, Sales, etc.).
- Excellent communicator, team player, hardworking, independent, and personable.
- Experience with Linked In Recruiter and other social media recruitment tools.
- Can-do attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of US Employment Law.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
Master’s degree is a plus.
