Responsibilities:
- Supervise the correct functioning and usage of all dishwashing machines to clean all soiled equipment while adhering to international waste protocols and managing spill cleanup.
- Unload and categorize flight trolleys and equipment, such as plates, bowls, trays, and silverware, based on class and type into designated plastic bins.
- Verify and document appropriate water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning processes.
- Supervise the stacking and sorting of clean equipment according to company specifications, ensuring all washed articles are placed in their respective areas.
- Take charge of dishwashing room operations during the assigned shift, ensuring all dishwashers adhere to appropriate timelines and complete assigned tasks according to flight times and departures.
- Maintain and adhere to all company guidelines regarding cleaning and sanitation while providing a safe work area and promptly reporting any sanitation issues to the relevant party.
- Promptly report any issues within the department, such as production, inventory, or team-related matters.
- Facilitate training of new dishwashers while monitoring their performance.
- Support and assist duty managers to ensure a smooth operation while fulfilling other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 year of supervisory experience in a similar position, showcasing leadership skills.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required;
Associate’s degree preferred. - Bilingual in English & Spanish is preferred.
- Proficient dish room knowledge of terms, procedures, and practices.
- Demonstrates outstanding organizational skills and a knack for prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Capable of seamlessly managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a substantial workload, and sustaining periods of extended standing as required.
- Adopts a hands-on approach and exhibits the ability to respond promptly with a sense of urgency.
- The position entails physical demands, necessitating the ability to move, lift, carry, pull, or push as needed.
- Excellent in computer operations, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interact and work well within a diverse group with experience/exposure to leadership roles.
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.

- Salary range: $66,300 - $75,000 annually.
