We’re hiring an Executive Chef for Tryst Hospitality in Sayville, New York. This is a great fit for a visionary culinary leader who thrives in fast-paced hospitality environments, enjoys developing creative menus and is passionate about leading and mentoring kitchen teams while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead, train and inspire a team of kitchen professionals to maintain efficient back-of-house operations
  • Develop and execute innovative seasonal menus across multiple food and beverage concepts
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, flavor and presentation
  • Oversee plating standards and presentation to reflect the brand’s visual identity
  • Manage kitchen budgets, food costs and inventory to support profitability
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations
  • Collaborate closely with front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth service and memorable guest experiences
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling and performance management for kitchen staff
  • Complete weekly payroll and staffing reports
  • Communicate effectively across departments to support company goals and operations
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume or upscale hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate kitchen staff
  • Expertise in menu development, food costing and kitchen operations
  • Excellent organization, time management and decision-making skills
  • Deep knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
