We’re hiring an Executive Chef for Tryst Hospitality in Sayville, New York. This is a great fit for a visionary culinary leader who thrives in fast-paced hospitality environments, enjoys developing creative menus and is passionate about leading and mentoring kitchen teams while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
What You’ll Do- Lead, train and inspire a team of kitchen professionals to maintain efficient back-of-house operations
- Develop and execute innovative seasonal menus across multiple food and beverage concepts
- Ensure consistency in food quality, flavor and presentation
- Oversee plating standards and presentation to reflect the brand’s visual identity
- Manage kitchen budgets, food costs and inventory to support profitability
- Maintain food safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate closely with front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth service and memorable guest experiences
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling and performance management for kitchen staff
- Complete weekly payroll and staffing reports
- Communicate effectively across departments to support company goals and operations
- 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume or upscale hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate kitchen staff
- Expertise in menu development, food costing and kitchen operations
- Excellent organization, time management and decision-making skills
- Deep knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Competitive salary starting from $100,000 per year
