This is a vertically integrated hospitality group overseeing the design, development, operations, and consulting of some of New York’s most successful food and beverage venues. Founded in 2012, the group currently owns and operates numerous restaurants and cocktail bars, nightlife venues, as well as hotel food and beverage facilities. This hospitality group is recognized as one of New York’s top cocktail bar operators, achieving high volume, while maintaining award-winning and press-worthy, specialty beverage programs.
With our chef partners, we create and execute all culinary operations, with our proven operations team ensuring quality and cost control at all levels of service.
Position Overview:
This hospitality group is currently seeking General Manager's to join the team. Ideal candidate's must be comfortable working in a fast-paced nightlife environment, and willing to roll up their sleeves in all aspects of service and operational procedures.
GMResponsibilities Include:
- Work directly with Managing Partner and Director of Op's to develop and execute strategies to achieve operational goals.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to unite both Front of House and Heart of the House towards a common goal of continually raising the bar. Implements, monitors, and fine-tunes clear strategic initiatives.
- Conducts weekly manager meetings and is confident presenting in front of a group.
- Leads motivating, enthusiastic, educational pre-shift meetings.
- Ensures consistent execution of food, beverage, service, and hospitality that aligns with company values.
- Proactively manages prime costs with an eye on the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual projections and budgets.
- Forecasts and monitors weekly sales and labor numbers to ensure hospitality and financial targets are achieved.
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a strong team.
- Hold team accountable, performance manage, and coach and counsel when needed.
- Ability to diffuse challenging guest situations with patience, understanding, and tact; and resolve conflicts between team members.
- Aptitude to apply creative solutions to practical problems and situations where limited standardization exists.
- Capable of working independently and in a team environment; balances team and individual responsibilities
- 4 years management experience in a similar face paced environment
- Must have experience working in a nightlife establishment
- Strong restaurant operational skills
- Knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails
- Experience using POS platforms such as Toast, 7
Shifts, Resy, open table, Slack, Asana - Strong mathematical, and computer skills:
Excel, Google docs - Ability to work late nights and weekends
