Job Description
Housekeeping Staff: non-exempt, full-time; on average 35 hours per week. Reports to Housekeeping Manager.
Summary
Housekeeping is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the public bathrooms and the preparation of participant housing on transition days (usually every Friday and Sunday). Other responsibilities include linen pick-up delivery and the ordering/ delivery of paper products and supplies.
Essential Functions

- Cleaning public bathrooms
- Making beds in guest rooms
- Stocking paper supplies
- Washing, drying and folding linens, blankets, etc. in Omega's operational laundry facility
- Plunging and cleaning clogged toilets
- Creating kits of linens to be used to make beds in guest rooms
- Maintaining general order in all Housekeeping spaces (including storage spaces located throughout campus)
- Delivery of supplies requested by other departments
- Pick-up of dirty linens from other departments
- Valid driver's license for operation of golf carts
- Using two-way radio for communications with other Housekeeping staff members and other departments
- Attendance at team meeting(s) on transition days
- Giving direction and training to part-time staff who work in Housekeeping on transition days
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- This position functions indoors and outdoors on the Omega campus.
- This is a full-time position, 35 hours a week. Staff will be expected to work on campus transition days (Fridays and Sundays).
- Ability to constantly work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to occasionally move items that weigh 50 pounds for various needs.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of work time.
- Ability to traverse a hilly campus in diverse weather conditions.
- Ability to position self to perform diverse job tasks as necessary.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Ability to work in a constant sate of alertness and safe manner.
- Ability to observe details at close range.
- Timely, reliable, and service oriented individual.
- Team Player.
- Valid driver's license.
- Alignment with Omega's mission, goals and core values.
Compensation
Seasonal staff work full-time for six months, between early-May through late-October. Seasonal staff receive a compensation package that includes:
- Wage
- Indoor housing
- Three delicious meals per day in our mostly vegetarian Dining Hall
