Position: Operations Manager

Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for planning and directing hotel operations to improve productivity and efficiency, supporting the General Manager in managing Front Office and Housekeeping, and ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing Front Office and Housekeeping operations, supporting other departments like Engineering.

Maintain a strong lobby presence to assist guests and front desk staff.

Provide shift coverage across operations as needed.

Manage hotel room inventory and ensure all areas meet Highgate standards.

Monitor and promote the Nor 1 upsell program.

Handle guest requests and complaints during shifts.

Perform front desk duties, investigate issues, and handle emergencies.

Manage employee payroll, attendance, and overtime, and conduct coaching and training.

Perform Night Audit functions and produce related reports.

Participate in meetings to foster positive working relationships and morale.

Attend required hotel trainings and meetings.

Participate in Manager on Duty (MOD) coverage as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel or related experience, or relevant educational background with experience.

Previous supervisory experience.

Proficiency in Windows and company-approved software.

Ability to work long hours and handle physical tasks as required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and confidentiality skills.

High standards of personal appearance and grooming.

Ability to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
