A gentlewoman, on the Upper East Side, needs to hire a formally trained Housekeeper.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with the morning Housekeeper to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation of the residence.

Laundering fine clothing and linens and other household fabrics.

Making beds and changing linens.

Safely cleaning and polishing delicate surfaces and items.

Formal table settings for meals and special occasions, ensuring proper placement of flatware, glassware, and table linens.

Greeting guests and maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.

Preparing and serving basic healthy meals as needed.

Answering the phone and working with building personnel as needed.

All candidates must have experience working in a formal household and/or luxury hospitality setting. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and must be comfortable wearing black pants and a white top (provided). Candidates with formal serving/cocktail service experience are preferred. Ability to drive is a plus. Private bed and bath provided. Schedule is 40 hours from Monday to Friday with flexibility.

Candidates are welcome to live-in 7 days/week if needed. Salary range: $45-55/hr. plus health insurance stipend. Immediate start.
