FUNCTION & SCOPE:
Provide direct care to residents meeting criteria for admission. Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team within the agency and the outpatient clinics servicing residents.
DUTIES INCLUDE:- Manage a caseload of up to 10 clients
- Be responsible for completing all assigned paperwork in a timely manner adhering to OASAS regulations
- Provide direct responsibility for an active caseload, which dictates that clients are seen on a regular basis. This requires all aspects of comprehensive planning, in terms of long and short-term goals for this caseload Complete assessment and discharge plan
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions as needed Supervising daily activities/structure of program
- Perform crisis intervention as necessary
- Attend Weekly Treatment Team Meetings, Monthly Staff Meetings, Weekly Clinical Supervision and monthly Group Supervision
- Attend trainings as deemed appropriate
- Perform record keeping (clinical and administrative) Complete weekend highlights
- Facilitate Groups and Classes as designated by administrative staff
- Will be expected to work nights as deemed necessary and will also be assigned for on-call rotation
- Adhere to Agency policies and procedures and perform other related tasks as assigned
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of methods of dealing with personality and emotional difficulties relating to the abuse of alcohol and other drugs Ability to plan and organize a caseload
Knowledge of the methods of institutional management
- Thorough expertise in individual, group and family counseling
Maintain all records and reports in an acceptable, professional manner
Bachelors' degree or HS Diploma/GED with 3 consecutive years in residential program (preferably Substance Abuse)
