Overview
Therapist - First Responders/Veterans Program. Deliver modality-specific care, including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, contingency management, and relapse prevention, for first responders and veterans with an understanding of the unique stressors, occupational culture, and high-risk nature of these professions. Provide trauma-informed care addressing issues such as PTSD, moral injury, chronic stress, and mental health stigma specific to these populations.
Responsibilities- Direct care delivery including but not limited to assessment of physiologic and psychosocial health status
- Interview patients, establishing treatment goals and plan
- Maintain understanding of current treatments, knowledge, and practices in addiction care and prioritize the use of best and evidence-based practices.
- Coordinate care with outside resources and agencies, EAPs, unions, monitoring programs, HR Departments, etc.
- Maintain documentation, patient files, and statistics as required by departmental policies and funding sources
- Work collaboratively with the medical and nursing teams to develop personalized treatment plans
- Field clinically related telephone calls and respond as indicated to promote optimal patient care
- Support efforts of the Wellbridge research team to implement program improvement and patient outcomes. Manage and promote relationship with academic and research institutions to promote addiction research and training
- Provide crisis support to other clinicians and patients, as needed and in emergency situations
- Participate in regular clinical team meetings. Work closely with the clinical and advocacy teams to coordinate services to patients
- Serve as a liaison and assist with community outreach/presentations
- Maintain a safe and caring environment, delivering care in a culturally sensitive manner and consistent with Wellbridge mission, vision and values

Essential FunctionsFor patient care needs, this is an on-site role. Clearly communicate and exchange information verbally and electronically. Consistent computer and phone, general office equipment use. Generally sedentary, traversing office and facility areas.
Qualifications- Master’s level degree in behavioral sciences or social work
- Valid License as a Social Worker or related field (LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, or equivalent) in the State of New York.
- BLS certification, ACLS preferred
- Familiarity with all relevant healthcare standards: OASAS, ASAM, JCAHO, etc.
- Demonstrated communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills;
Strong problem solving, conceptual, and analytical skills - Proficiency with data management and electronic records
- At least three (3) years of clinical experience providing treatment for addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders; experience working with first responders or veterans, individuals with extensive trauma histories
- Specific experience with stabilization and withdrawal management care and/or rehabilitation settings
- Experience with therapeutic groups (preferably addiction-oriented), therapeutic communities, and inpatient care
- Experience evaluating program effectiveness and implementing data-driven process improvement
- Knowledge of medications assisted recovery (MAR) and how behavioral interventions can support and improve outcomes for MAR
- Experience collaborating and maintaining consistent communication with external employer or regulatory agencies.

When determining a team member’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., shift, specialty, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, budget, and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is...
LMSW Range: $72,000 - $78,000/year
LCSW Range: $78,000 - $82,000/year (depending on experience/specialty)
