Outreach Specialist – Healthcare (NYC)

TEEMA is hiring Outreach Specialists to support a large, high-impact healthcare initiative across New York City’s five boroughs
. This hybrid role blends in-person field outreach with phone-based coordination and is ideal for people who enjoy being out in the community, working independently, and interacting face-to-face.

As an Outreach Specialist, you’ll spend part of your time visiting physician offices to retrieve medical records or coordinate chart requests. When not in the field, you’ll connect with provider offices by phone to follow up, schedule retrievals, and ensure records are submitted accurately and on time.

This role is well-suited for individuals who are personable, confident, and comfortable walking into businesses and building rapport quickly.

• Visit physician offices across assigned NYC boroughs to retrieve medical records
• Communicate with office staff to coordinate or negotiate chart retrieval when needed
• Make outbound phone calls to provider offices to request and follow up on records
• Schedule and track medical record submissions
• Accurately document outreach activity in internal systems
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and represent TEEMA and the client professionally at all times

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable speaking with people in person and over the phone
• Basic computer skills (CRM systems, Microsoft Office, web portals)
• Ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule
• Reliable, professional, and punctual

Candidates with backgrounds in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing or field-based roles often excel in this position.

• Bilingual Spanish preferred
• Mandarin or Chinese a plus

• Most team members use public transportation or scooters
