Maimonides currently seeks a Resident Coordinator to coordinate all educational, administrative, & regulatory activities specific to the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program. You will serve as the primary administrative liaison between orthopedic surgery faculty, residents, institutional graduate medical education (GME), and external accrediting bodies.
Responsibilities- Manage resident recruitment through ERAS, coordinates NRMP matching and rank lists, and processes appointment contracts and credentialing.
- Maintain resident files, tracks rotation and call schedules, and manages operative case logs and duty hours per ACGME requirements.
- Administer all evaluation processes (resident, faculty, milestones) and coordinates ACGME accreditation submissions and site visit preparation.
- Coordinate educational activities including Grand Rounds, M&M conferences, journal clubs, and skills workshops. Manages resident orientation and certification course compliance.
- Serve as liaison with GME Office, ensures ACGME and NYS DOH compliance, and submits required program reports and statistics.
- Support Chair, Vice Chairs, and Program Directors with administrative needs, correspondence, and maintains program policies and procedures.
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (education, healthcare administration, or related).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a teaching hospital or ACGME‑accredited residency program, preferably in a surgical specialty.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with residency management systems (e.g., ERAS, NRMP, ACGME ADS) or willingness to learn
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Pay RangePay Range
: USD $65,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
