The Data Analyst supports clinical, nursing, and administrative leaders by analyzing healthcare data to evaluate key indicators. This role translates care delivery and clinical operations into clear, concise reports and visualizations to support quality improvement, operational decision‑making, and research initiatives. Position is for 5‑years and is fully grant funded.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Design and conduct healthcare and nursing‑focused analyses related to patient outcomes, patient experience, quality, and performance improvement.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Excel and Power BI for clinical, nursing, and leadership audiences.
- Translate care delivery processes and clinical workflows into actionable, easy‑to‑understand insights.
- Design and implement data collection tools for research and Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, researchers, and administrators to ensure data is accurate, meaningful, and not duplicative of enterprise systems.
- Clean and manage datasets.
- Produce accurate, timely management reports and standardized analytics.
- Conduct statistical analyses and prepare tables, charts, and summaries to document findings.
- Present results in formats tailored to clinical, nursing, administrative, and external audiences.
- Manage analytic projects with appropriate documentation to ensure continuity of grant requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Health Informatics, Public Health, Data Analytics, Nursing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with healthcare or clinical data.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
- Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards, preferably using Power BI.
- Ability to translate clinical and care delivery data into clear, concise reports.
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality and healthcare data standards.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Familiarity with nursing, quality improvement, or care delivery workflows.
- Experience with enterprise healthcare data systems or databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
