The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting and screening potential study participants from diverse communities
  • Conducting outreach to Spanish-speaking populations
  • Scheduling and coordinating qualitative research sessions (interviews, focus groups, design workshops)
  • Facilitating or co-facilitating qualitative design sessions with the PI
  • Providing real-time interpretation during research activities when needed
  • Translating study materials, consent forms, and participant communications
  • Managing participant tracking databases and study documentation
  • Assisting with qualitative data collection and initial coding/transcription
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is based on availability of funding.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program (MS or PhD) in nursing, public health, social work, health education, or related field
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Cultural sensitivity and competence
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in community-based participatory research
  • Background in qualitative research methods (interviews, focus groups, ethnography)
  • Experience with human-centered design or co-design methodologies
