** Medical Assistant - Part Time (Urology Practice)

* Location:

Manhattan, NY
**** Hours/Days:
Monday, Thursday, & Friday;
Between 7:30am-6:00pm
**** Organization:
New York Health (NYH)
**** In this role, you will:**
* ** Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording.**
* ** Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.**
* ** Record patients' vital signs.**
* ** Prepare patients for examinations.**
* ** Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.**
* ** Assist providers and other support staff in the data entry process.**
* ** Assist physicians during visits with examinations and all office procedures.**
* ** Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.**
* ** Other duties as assigned.**
* ** Travel to all Progressive Urology locations in Queens and Manhattan for patient care needs
**** We require:*** ##
** A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma*** ##
** Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)*** ##
** Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred)*** ##
** Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching*** ##
** Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when handling blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids*** ##
** Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.*** ##
** Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs
