DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated professional for a full-time role in Flushing, NY, to lead and develop peer support staff in a community-based behavioral health setting.
The position requires onsite presence and involves guiding a multidisciplinary team focused on recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care.
Requirements- Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, psychology, or related field
- LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, or LMFT licensure
- 2 years of supervisory experience in behavioral health or peer support
- Experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges
- Strong knowledge of peer support principles and recovery-oriented services
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
- Lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery
- Certified Peer Specialist or equivalent certification
- Experience in community-based behavioral health programs
- Training in motivational interviewing or other evidence-based interventions
