Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Radiology to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/
Jacobi and North Central Bronx
. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Opportunity Details
  • Provide patient care in the Department of Radiology.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Cardiothoracic Radiology, Director of Interventional Radiology, and Chairperson of Radiology.
  • Obtain patient consults, histories, physical examinations, obtain informed consent from patient or responsible party, and follow-up clinical care.
  • Order and/or administer radiologic contrast (i.e.

    - for CT, MRI, ultrasound).
  • Order pertinent tests and therapeutic/medications, including writing prescriptions.
  • Provide pre-and post-procedural instructions to patients or their representative.
  • Select pertinent radiology protocols for radiologic studies/procedures.
  • Monitor heart rate and administer rate control medications prior to coronary CT angiograms.
  • Perform and assist Radiologists with interventional radiological procedures.
  • Perform image-guided PICC and midline placement, repositioning, and removal.
  • May serve as first assist in radiological procedures.
  • May have on-call duties for interventional radiology consults.
