Key Responsibilities- Operate x‑ray equipment and develop images, preparing radiological areas, equipment, supplies, and contrast materials.
- Manipulate and supervise the procedure workflow for the day, including patient positioning, exposure settings, immobilization, shielding, and compliance with radiation protection protocols.
- Document patient encounters via EMR and record imaging results.
- Supervise radiographers and ancillary personnel, manage inventory, and ensure continuous workflow.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, procurement, and storage of supplies.
- Perform diagnostic and interventional radiography procedures (CT, MRI, mammography) as required.
- Lead training programs and demonstrate new or revised techniques, and may act as an interim supervisor if needed.
- Conduct research and special projects involving equipment evaluation.
- Valid NYSDOH Diagnostic Radiography license and registration to practice as Radiologic Technologist.
- For Supervisory Assignments:
Two years of experience at Assignment Levels I & II, including at least one year in a supervisory role. - For Specialized Imaging Assignments:
Current advanced‑level certification for the performance of specialized imaging procedures.
- ARRT advanced certification in Mammography.
- Two or more years of experience as a Mammographer Technologist.
