Position: Nurse Manager - $20,000 Sign-On Bonus
Location: New York

Located in the heart of the community of Washington Heights in Northern Manhattan, this 705-bed rehabilitation and nursing care facility is dedicated to providing quality care through diverse programs and services designed to support health and independence for individuals needing short-stay or long-term inpatient care.

Responsibilities:

Managing the Nursing Unit: Ensure the unit functions properly and safely 24/7.

Compliance and Oversight: Review medical records for compliance, conduct environmental rounds, assign duties to licensed personnel, supervise ancillary staff, and ensure timely submission of reports.

Ownership and Communication: Supervise on a 24-hour basis, communicate across all shifts, and assess equipment needs.

Patient Care Management: Oversee patient/resident care, facilitate interdisciplinary care planning, oversee staff provision of care, collaborate with team members, perform audits, and participate in discharge planning.

Family and Patient Concerns: Address concerns, document incidents, notify appropriate authorities, participate in investigations, and ensure resolution.

Staffing and Scheduling: Develop staffing plans, communicate needs, and ensure appropriate staffing levels and mix.

Clinical Care and Emergency Response: Evaluate admissions, respond to incidents and emergencies, ensure therapy compliance, and manage staff performance through training and corrective actions.

Resource Management: Utilize corporate resources, monitor productivity, participate in budgeting, and assist in staff recruitment.

Qualifications:

BSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of 4 years clinical experience, including at least 2 years in management, preferably in a geriatric setting.
