Senior Scientific Associate – Write medical content for clients, collaborate with internal teams to ensure the client vision is achieved, and support groundbreaking medicines and treatments that make care accessible and affordable. You will receive external training, mentorship, and work in a cross‑functional project team environment.

What You Can Expect Day‑to‑day
  • Serve as the medical point person on assigned accounts.
  • Develop, write, and translate complex scientific data for a broad audience across multiple and wide‑ranging therapeutic areas.
  • Ensure project quality and outcomes by demonstrating in‑depth technical expertise of assigned therapeutic categories and/or managed care areas.
  • Develop strategic content for the full range of medical assets (slide presentations, advisory boards, strategy guides, monographs, discussion guides, training resources, etc.).
  • Work closely with account teams to refine content in keeping with strategic imperatives.
  • Communicate medical content with internal teams and pharmaceutical clients, as necessary.
  • Attend medical, legal, and regulatory review meetings.
  • Participate in internal team meetings, including project kick‑off meetings, weekly status meetings, client meetings, and internal brainstorm/review meetings.
  • Contribute ideas for new business proposals and tactical planning within assigned accounts.
  • Mentor junior‑level writers.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate‑level degree such as Pharm

    D or PhD.
  • 2–4 years in medical communications, healthcare agency, medical education, or a similar field.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific concepts for a variety of managed care audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize projects, juggle competing client priorities, and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal social skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
Other
  • Candidates with a BA/BS plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in the medical communication, pharmaceutical, and/or healthcare industry may be considered for a Senior Medical Writer level.

Reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role: $87,500 USD – $122,500 USD. This range is a broad estimate that reflects a variety of factors. In addition to base pay, the role may include a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, paid time off for sick leave, and vacation, among other benefits.
