We are seeking energetic and results‑driven Industrial Athletic Trainers to provide occupational care and injury‑prevention services onsite for a major airline carrier at JFK Airport. The role supports employees by providing occupational care, ergonomic support/training, education, and coaching, aiming to increase employees’ ability to perform their duties safely and reduce injury risk.
ScheduleSunday: 9am‑7pm, Monday‑Tuesday: 10am‑8pm, Wednesday: 1pm‑11pm
Responsibilities- Provide proactive injury prevention, injury care, assessment, and medical triage per OSHA standards, including ergonomic postural education and escalation of medical care if necessary.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and support based on site operations, job processes, and physical demands to recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation efficiently while providing feedback to employees and clients for continuous health improvements.
- Prepare and present reports with key metrics to leadership, client partners, and operations management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training.
- Required state licensure, certification, and registration in good standing, or the ability to obtain licensure.
- CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain it prior to employment; maintain current certification proofs.
- Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations preferred.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire shift.
- Experience in ergonomic and/or occupational health preferred.
- High degree of professionalism in written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and in a team without constant supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
