Overview
The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patients for SFH operating rooms by working closely with physician offices and internal departments. This role ensures all required information, authorizations, and managed care requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner prior to patient admissions and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and schedule patients for SFH operating rooms using telephone, fax, and computerized scheduling systems in collaboration with physician offices.
- Obtain and verify accurate patient and procedure information required for scheduling.
- Ensure all managed care requirements are met at the time of scheduling, including securing pre-certifications prior to admissions or procedures.
- Collect, complete, and follow up on all pertinent documentation and information necessary to finalize patient schedules.
- Communicate effectively with physician offices and internal stakeholders to resolve scheduling issues and ensure accuracy.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Minimum of three (3) years of hospital or physician office scheduling experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex scheduling scenarios.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and a solid understanding of operating room procedures and workflows.
USD $25.09 - USD $31.50 /Hr.
