Community Mental Health Team LeadFixed term or secondment opportunity – 9 to 12 months. The role is based at Inverness Community Mental Health (CMHT) and will cover Inverness City, Balloch, Culloden and Smithton, as well as the Foyers and Drumnadrochit area.
About the roleInverness CMHT is a dynamic multidisciplinary team that provides mental health care and treatment for adults with moderate to severe mental illness. As Team Lead you will manage the team, ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based care is delivered and liaise with other services for complex cases.
Responsibilities- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of adult community mental health services.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families and multiple services in complex and distressing situations.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act (Scotland), Adults with Incapacity and Child Protection legislation.
- Ensure team compliance with organisational policies and national standards.
- Significant experience in adult mental health, preferably in both inpatient and community settings.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with clear knowledge and evidence of working in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage challenging situations.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act (Scotland) and related legislation.

Additional Information For Candidates- Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
