Pinnacle Multicare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a leading provider of healthcare services in The Bronx, New York, is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Director of Recreation to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Recreation department, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing innovative recreational programs that enhance the overall well-being of our residents.

• Implement, and lead recreational programs and activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including arts, crafts, music, and games
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create holistic experiences that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity
• Assist with training, and supervising Recreation staff and volunteers to ensure seamless program execution
• Maintain accurate records and reports of program participation, resident engagement, and program outcomes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies

• Prior experience in recreation or a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting
• A strong understanding of recreation principles and practice, with ability to apply creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse resident needs
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed
