In this role, you will navigation through our EMR to register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, obtain demographic details, insurance information and verification. You will ensure proper scheduling, record patient history and obtain pre-certification and authorization.

This is a full time Monday-Friday 40-hour work week. Hours will vary as needed from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Must be willing to travel/provide coverage to Ortho department sites below and to help cover the other Hudson Valley Medical Group locations as needed.

Must be willing to travel/provide coverage across various Hudson Valley Medical Group locations listed above as needed.
Preferred Criteria- Knowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology.
- Experience working in a busy out-patient practice.
- Orthopedics or radiology experience.
- Knowledge of coding: ICD 10, CPT-4, health insurance benefits and requirements.
- EMR experience/EPIC
- 1+ year of clerical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Effective communication skills verbal and written.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
- Must be detail oriented, able to problem solve and work independently.

Please note that all roles require on‑site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
