Overview
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with alternate weekends
Duration: 8-week contract with high chances of extension
Job SummaryThe Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in the evaluation and diagnosis of medical conditions. This role requires delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to established clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental guidelines
- Prepare and position patients for examinations, explaining procedures as needed
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure accurate image acquisition
- Review images for technical quality and completeness before submission
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards
- Completion of an approved Ultrasound Technologist training program
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS (required)
