• Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states. Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services.
• Patient Populations Served:
  Does not directly treat or care for patients.
• Protected Health Information Accessed:
  Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure:
  Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is present.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Science preferred.

  Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must reflect education requirements).
