About the Role:
As a Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor
, you will lead daily operations in our Microbiology lab, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality testing. You’ll manage staffing schedules, oversee personnel performance, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards. This leadership role offers the opportunity to collaborate with nationally accredited colleagues and contribute to lifesaving results.
You’ll also serve as a mentor and educational resource, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Acting as a trusted liaison for nursing units and physicians, you’ll play a key role in supporting patient care across the hospital.
ResponsibilitiesWhat We’re Looking For:
As a Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor, you will lead daily operations in our Microbiology lab, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality testing. QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license
- Minimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience (or 2 years with a Master’s degree)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- ASCP certification
- Be part of a nationally recognized healthcare system
