Job Description
This is a 13-week contract position. The CT Tech will establish and maintain mechanical ventilatory support for critical newborn, pediatric, and adult patients utilizing various pressure and volume ventilators. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, predominantly during days.
Responsibilities

• Monitor patients for changes in cardio-pulmonary status.

• Maintain patent and stable airway during resuscitation and mechanical ventilation; perform oral intubations and maintain appropriate cuff pressures.

• Apply advanced ventilator techniques including CPAP, PS, SIMV, and PEEP.

• Establish ventilator weaning criteria and initiate weaning procedures as necessary.

• Initiate and perform effective CPR without direction.

• Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis, interpret results, and act accordingly.

• Make recommendations to physicians based on blood gas results and clinical evaluation.

• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and interpret key metrics like Pulmonary Artery Pressures, Cardiac Output, and Central Venous Pressure.

• Assist physicians with special procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, and surgical tracheotomy.

• Perform Pulmonary Function studies and document all treatments and observations in medical records.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Candidates should possess relevant certifications and licensure necessary for the role, along with a demonstrated ability in handling critical care environments.
Schedule

Shift: 3x12.0, flexibility required, primarily days.
