Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy - Day-Evening Shift Rotating Weekends

• Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, assist with preparing outpatient prescriptions, batching sterile and/or non-sterile preparations, managing inventory, maintaining patient profiles, processing prescription claims, and interacting with patients.
• Collect medication history and allergy information from patients and accurately document in the electronic medical record where applicable.
• Maintain all quality assurance data and procedures related to the non-sterile and sterile preparation areas and products prepared.

This is a full-time day/evening shift position 11:00am-7:00pm including rotating weekends/holidays, located at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

• One year of experience in hospital or community pharmacy practice setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• New York State Pharmacy Technician License.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB) or National Health career Association (NHA).
• Basic computer literacy.
