Occupational Therapy
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our service, delivering high-quality, person‑centred care to patients in their own homes and community settings.
About the RoleAs a Band 6 OT, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive rehabilitation and therapy interventions, supporting individuals to achieve their goals and maintain independence. You will manage a varied caseload, including complex cases, and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive team known for its collaborative spirit and commitment to patient‑centred care. We pride ourselves on working closely together, sharing ideas, and celebrating successes. Our team is deeply embedded in the Totton and Waterside community, making a real difference to the lives of local people.
You will work collaboratively with nursing, frailty, and Primary Care colleagues to support complex care needs, prevent hospital admissions, and facilitate timely discharges. Your leadership will be instrumental in promoting a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and compassionate care.
Development OpportunityWe would also consider applications for a development post for an Occupational Therapist who has gained some experience at Band 5 and is ready to progress to Band
6. This will include a structured progression plan over a 12‑month period, subject to meeting agreed competencies.
