Phlebotomist; Bilingual English​/Spanish

Position Summary

Joining our Specialty Department, the Phlebotomist (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) will provide routine tasks associates with drawing blood and conducting ancillary tests that are essential to a patient's diagnostic evaluation. We are hiring phlebotomists in anticipation of the opening of our new site Plaza San Juan in the Bronx. Until the new lab is open, this position is stationed and will train from our El Nuevo San Juan location.

Full Time- 5-day schedule
- Saturdays are mandatory, other 4 weekday shifts are flexible. 8am-5pm and 9am-6pm shifts.

• Nationally Certified Phlebotomy Technician, required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English, required.
• High School Diploma, required.
• 0-1 year of related phlebotomy experience required.
• Understanding of safety rules and regulations.
• Flexible work schedule required.

• Performs laboratory tests as ordered by provider.
• Draws blood, collects specimens, and transmits orders.
• Ensures accurate labeling of specimens.
• Prepares specimens for pickup, in accordance with National Patient Safety guidelines.
• Utilizes appropriate needle precautions.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and stock supplies on hand trays.
• Ensures appropriate OSHA standards.

Minimum $23.00 per hour;
Maximum $23.00 per hour

We are hiring for a full‑time role requiring shift availability Monday through Saturday, 8:00am-5:00pm/9:00am-6:00pm based on a 40 hour work week. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
