We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Phlebotomist (FGP) – Manhattan, Multispeciality.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who will perform routine phlebotomy (specimen procurement) via venipuncture or finger sticks while following established protocols. The Phlebotomist will prepare patients before drawing blood, explain procedures, answer questions, gather testing materials (needles, sample vials, blood storage bags, test tubes), verify patient information, and label samples properly. Working knowledge of the laboratory information system for specimen accessioning, label generation, and related computer operations is required.
Job ResponsibilitiesPerform routine phlebotomy (venipuncture or finger stick) according to established protocols.
Prepare patients for blood draws, explain procedures, and address any questions.
Gather all necessary testing materials and verify patient information.
Label blood samples accurately and ensure proper handling.
Maintain records and utilize the laboratory information system for specimen accessioning and label generation.
Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
One year of phlebotomy experience performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
Practical knowledge of information system operations.
Phlebotomy certificate and/or certification in medical assisting or equivalent experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Detail oriented, able to handle irregular workloads and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Preferred QualificationsMA experience preferred.

SalarySalary range: $66,697.18 – $66,697.19 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. Salary range excludes bonuses, incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
