Clinical Coordinator - Forensic and Sexual Behavior Assessment & TreatmentHarbor is seeking a Clinical Coordinator for the Forensic and Sexual Behavior Assessment and Treatment team under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, responsible for the administration, planning, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of all forensic services.
The Clinical Coordinator has significant public relations responsibilities as the program typically serves high-risk, potentially violent, and dangerous individuals.
Job Duties:
- Assists the Clinical Manager to administer, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate programs to assure continuity of organizational goals, program development, evaluation, and modification as required.
- Provides oversight of the Forensics programs and is responsible for program budget oversight, reporting, staff interviewing, hiring recommendations, staff orientation and training, and clinical supervision of the services provided, including documentation review and co-signing (based on licensure scope of practice).
- Identifies and consults with Supervisor and/or members of the Senior Management Team regarding developmental issues, identified as important to performance of duties and responsibilities of this position.
- Coordinates team coverage to ensure patient service needs are met, including reviewing and facilitating changes in staff schedules, arranging coverage for staff call-offs and planned time off, crisis intervention, and other unexpected patient needs that arise and need intervention/services.
- Ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, clinical, and professional manner and provides Pre-screening services as needed.
- Works in a highly collaborative manner with all members of the team to provide a unified treatment approach and ensure overall team success in all areas of treatment, documentation, and compliance.
- Demonstrates leadership skills that lead to acceptable/expected levels of productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of team members in expecting and providing excellent care to clients.
- Participates in process evaluation of staff with the Clinical Manager.
- Provides direct services to clients, including diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, therapy, and case management. In providing billable services, fulfills or exceeds unit expectations established by Harbor.
- Completes clinical documentation in the format appropriate and acceptable to Harbor and submits all documentation according to Harbor policy.
- Facilitates referrals and linkages to appropriate external and internal services and providers, and coordinates care as needed for the duration of client treatment.
- Coordinates team meeting agenda, including tracking and follow-up for transfers and referrals during the meeting to ensure successful linkages within the team and across teams.
- Participates in training and development programs to enhance knowledge, skills, and personal service network.
- Completes initial and annual required Relias Trainings.
- Demonstrates satisfactory performance on identified outcome measures and client satisfaction reports.
- Demonstrates satisfactory performance on required Peer/Clinical Record Reviews and in the timely and accurate completion of Peer/Clinical Records Reviews for other staff.
- Participates in peer consultations, staff meetings, and continuing education.
- Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth.
- Other duties may be assigned. Employee must comply with all agency policies and procedures.
- Master’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, social work, or related field. Two years’ experience as a Master’s level clinician and manager.
- Experience in assessment and treatment of forensic clients, crisis services, and supervision required.
