Physician Assistant – Psychiatry (Full‑Time)

Build a lasting, rewarding career in mental health at Island Psychiatry. You will provide advanced psychiatric treatment under mentorship of a CEO/Medical Director, lead Psychiatrist, and nursing practitioner.
Key Responsibilities- Administer Spravato® (Esketamine) and TMS treatments under established clinical protocols.
- Assist MD and Nurse Practitioner with psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment.
- Accurately document sessions, assist with note-taking, scriptwriting, and maintain thorough patient records.
- Support patients throughout their visits, ensuring a professional and compassionate experience.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team to deliver coordinated, high‑quality care.
- Engage in ongoing learning and development as part of a supportive, growth‑oriented team environment.
- Physician Assistant credential in New York State.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care.
- High levels of curiosity and caring – experience in psychiatry is not required.
- Competitive salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year.

& Schedule
Full‑time (introduction 8–16 hrs/week, progressing to full‑time). Highly flexible during introductory period, with evening hours to accommodate patients.
Work LocationIn‑person; roughly 3‑4 days a week at the Port Jefferson office, remainder at Huntington office, with 2‑3 evening days per week.
