Location: New York

For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area.

Requirements

The Hospice Bereavement Coordinator coordinates the Hospice Bereavement activities and provides psychosocial and bereavement support options (counseling or group) to the hospice families and participates in Bereavement Department programs.

Status: Full Time

Location: Bronx Campus

Salary: $92,228.53 - $99,742.70 annually

Qualifications
  • Licensed Master of Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor required.
  • Specialized training in the area of death and dying preferred.
  • At least two years of hospice experience preferred.
  • New York State Driver’s license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the core values of caring and commitment upheld at Calvary Hospital, as required by specific job responsibilities
Education
  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
