Analytical Sciences Lab Operations Support (Tue‑Sat 8:00 am – 4:00 pm)

We’re seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive individual to join the Analytical Sciences Lab Operations Support team to assist with daily lab functions and ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. This role is essential in maintaining lab readiness through inventory management, media preparation, equipment monitoring, and documentation tracking. You’ll play a key role in supporting cross‑functional workflows and maintaining the integrity of controlled lab spaces.

• Maintain laboratory supplies, reagents inventory, and preparation of media
• Safe handling and movement of compressed gases and/or cryogenic liquids
• Clean and monitor controlled temperature units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets (BSC)
• Use electronic management and tracking systems for monitoring and documenting routine maintenance and calibration status of laboratory equipment
• Use electronic systems to initiate and coordinate workflows between multiple teams/departments
• Manage paper lab notebook and logbook requests, updates, and reconciliation
• Assist in coordination and execution of recurring equipment maintenance and calibrations
• Participate in the overtime and weekend schedule as required
• Clean, organize, and label lab spaces in accordance with effective procedures
• Complete all safety and procedural trainings and retrainings
• Complete tasks listed above in laboratory areas that handle potent chemical compounds

• Associate degree (AS) in Life Sciences or equivalent
• Strong computer and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and ability to meet physical demands, including routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs or more, walking and standing for extended periods, pushing or pulling carts and equipment, and bending down or reaching for supplies
• Knowledge of cGMP
• Ability to operate in multiple electronic systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new processes, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

• 10‑15 minute phone interview with region recruiter
• 45‑60 minute virtual interview with manager and/or group leader
• The position is full‑time, Tuesday through Saturday, with the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York are encouraged to apply
• Hourly rate is between $19.50–$21.50 per hour
